• Structure: The door leaf is assembled and welded from components such as flat steel plates, cross-shaped rib plates, and ring beams; the door frame is a framework structure composed of channel steel and I-beam.

• Protective Engineering: In civil air defense engineering, airtight doors are installed inside protective airtight doors to prevent toxic agents from entering protected areas.

• Firefighting Field: For example, in the passageways from underground main substations and main drainage pump rooms to the bottom yard, they prevent sudden water ingress.

Differences from Protective Airtight Doors

• Protective Function: Protective airtight doors can block both shockwaves and toxic agents, while airtight doors can only block toxic agents but not shockwaves.

• Positioning: Protective airtight doors are installed on the outermost side of the external entrances and exits of civil air defense zones and protective units, while airtight doors are installed on the inner side.

• Materials and Weight: Protective airtight doors are typically made of steel and are heavier; airtight doors can be made of steel or wood and are relatively lighter.
