Main Applications

Coatings and Inks

SMA Resin 2000-P performs excellently in water-based inks, powder coatings, and printing varnishes. It can serve as a polymeric surfactant for dispersion and emulsification applications, as well as act as a functional crosslinking agent or chemical intermediate for the production of specialty polymers.

Plastic Modification

SMA Resin 2000-P can be used to alter the melt flow of thermoplastics, improve coupling effects, and better disperse fillers and pigments. Its heat resistance and the reactivity of the maleic anhydride groups make it valuable in polymer modification and the electronics industry.

Adhesives

SMA Resin 2000-P is also widely used in the adhesives field, particularly in heat-resistant varnishes/overprint varnishes, heat-resistant emulsion polymers, alkali-resistant, and water-resistant cationic emulsion polymers. Additionally, it can be used to prepare water-resistant, ultra-fine particle size wax emulsions and rosin emulsions.

Electronic Materials and Other Applications

Beyond the above areas, SMA Resin 2000-P is also used in electronic materials, cleaning agents, leather treatment, functional plastics, papermaking, and various other industries.
