Main Applications

Footwear Materials

Footwear materials are the primary application field of EVA resin in China. In EVA resins used for footwear, the vinyl acetate content generally ranges from 15% to 22%. Due to the softness, excellent elasticity, and chemical resistance of EVA resin blended foam products, they are widely used in the soles and interior materials of sports shoes, hiking shoes, slippers, and sandals. This grade of EVA can be used for pressure foaming to produce foam plastic slippers and sandals, as well as for injection molding foaming for women's shoe soles, among other applications.

Film Applications

Functional Greenhouse Film: EVA film can be used to produce functional greenhouse films with high weather resistance, anti-drip properties, and thermal insulation. Greenhouse films made by adding a certain amount of EVA resin not only have high light transmittance but also significantly improved anti-drip performance, typically lasting over 4 months, whereas polyethylene films with anti-drip additives maintain anti-drip properties for only about 2 months.

Other Films: It can also be used to produce packaging films, medical films, laminated films, cast films, food packaging films, heat-shrink films, etc., and can serve as the intermediate layer in polyolefin laminated films.

Wire and Cable Applications

Due to its excellent filler compatibility and cross-linking properties, EVA resin is widely used in halogen-free flame-retardant cables and two-step silane cross-linked cables. Additionally, it is used in the production of sheaths for some special cables. In wires and cables, the vinyl acetate content of EVA resin typically ranges from 12% to 24%.

Hot Melt Adhesive Applications

Hot melt adhesives primarily composed of EVA resin are solvent-free, environmentally friendly, and highly safe, making them well-suited for automated production lines. They are widely used in wireless bookbinding, furniture edge banding, assembly of automobiles and household appliances, footwear manufacturing, carpet coating, and metal anti-corrosion coatings. EVA with a vinyl acetate content generally between 20% and 28% is mainly used for hot melt adhesives and coating products. This grade, EA28025, falls within this range.

Other Applications

• General Products: Suitable for industrial materials such as power wire insulation jackets, household appliance components, and window sealing materials; also used in daily miscellaneous goods like sports equipment, toys, cushions, straps, sealed container lids, and EVA rubber footballs; and in automotive parts such as shock absorbers, fenders, and interior and exterior decorative components.
• Foam Products and Building Materials: In addition to footwear foam, it can be used to produce foam materials for construction, providing functions such as thermal insulation.
