SABICPolyetherimide (PEI) is a super engineering plastic made from amorphous polyetherimide, offering high-temperature resistance, dimensional stability, chemical resistance, flame retardancy, electrical properties, high strength, high rigidity, and more. PEI resin is widely used in high-temperature terminals, IC sockets, lighting equipment, FPCB (flexible printed circuit boards), liquid transport equipment, aircraft interior parts, medical devices, and household appliances.
Ultem (PEI) Polyetherimide
is a non-crystalline thermoplastic polyetherimide material that combines the excellent heat resistance and mechanical strength of imide groups with the good moldability of ether.
Characteristics:
1. Excellent flame retardancy—oxygen index above 47, low smoke emission, UL 94 VO/5VA
2. Excellent electrical properties—maintains stable dielectric constant and loss over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies, with high dielectric strength
3. Excellent heat resistance—heat deflection temperature exceeds 200°C, long-term use temperature above 170°C
4. High strength, high rigidity, wear resistance, and dimensional stability at high temperatures.
