Intelligent Micro-Powered Sunken Green Space

The Intelligent Micro-Powered Sunken Green Space is a sponge facility that integrates six major functions: infiltration, retention, storage, purification, reuse, and drainage. It overcomes the limitation of traditional sunken green spaces, which only serve a single infiltration function, and is applied in sponge city construction with innovative concepts and perspectives. The facility centers around a micro-circulation power system, with nutrient substrate, shrubs, and herbaceous vegetation as the main components, water-storage ecological grids as the foundation, a micro-circulation transport system as the core, soil shallow-layer sensing, water volume regulation, and air pressure balancing devices as guides, and smart water management along with delayed overflow facilities as safeguards. This forms a self-sustaining, self-nourishing, self-purifying, and self-circulating ecological sponge system. It is designed to collect runoff rainwater from its own area and surrounding regions, reduce non-point source pollution, store and reuse water, slowly release total runoff volume, and restore groundwater levels. Additionally, it offers water purification benefits and ecological aesthetic value as a new type of prefabricated sponge facility.
