It can also serve as a mildew inhibitor, fruit ripening agent, preservative, antifreeze agent, and tobacco humectant. Physical Properties: Colorless, viscous, stable hygroscopic liquid; almost odorless and tasteless; flammable; low toxicity. Miscible with water, ethanol, and various organic solvents.
