Field applications show that potassium formate effectively inhibits clay hydration. Physical Properties: The liquid product is a colorless transparent liquid with a saturated solution specific gravity of 1.58 g/cm³. The solid is a white, highly hygroscopic substance with reducibility and can react with strong oxidizers. Its density is 1.9100 g/cm³. It is highly soluble in water, non-toxic, and non-corrosive. Storage and Transportation: This product is a general chemical, non-toxic and harmless. It is highly hygroscopic and should be stored in a dry warehouse. Handle with care to avoid damage to the packaging, which may cause moisture absorption.
