Basic Application Scope: Suitable for initial tack testing of various adhesive products, such as pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, adhesive tapes, patches, self-adhesive labels, protective films, medical plasters, wallpapers, etc.

Testing Principle: The test adopts the inclined rolling ball method. It measures the initial tack of samples by evaluating the adhesion of adhesive tapes, labels, and other products to a steel ball when the ball makes brief contact with the adhesive surface under minimal pressure. A steel ball is rolled over the adhesive surface of the tape placed on an inclined plate, and the initial tack is assessed based on the largest ball size that the adhesive surface can retain over a specified length.

Instrument Structure:

1. Inclined Rolling Ball Device: This device mainly consists of an inclined plate, ball release mechanism, support frame, base, and ball collection box;

2. Steel Balls: Made of GCr15 bearing steel with precision not lower than Grade 0 as specified in GB 308-77 "Steel Balls";

3. Steel balls are numbered according to 32 times their imperial diameter. A continuous set of ball numbers should be used for testing. 4. Steel balls should be stored in anti-rust oil. Balls with rust or damage must be replaced promptly.
