Nursery Herbicide, Seedling Herbicide, Special Herbicide for Pine, Cypress, and Fir, Special Herbicide for Young Forest Tending—Forest Use Huier + Jielizhan Adjuvant
Product Description:
The new nursery herbicide and special herbicide for young forest tending—Forest Use Huier is an improved formula based on the specialized nursery herbicide—Huier. It can be widely used for weed control in coniferous nurseries and planted seedlings, ensuring safety for seedlings and more thorough weed eradication. For coniferous seedlings, it can be used throughout the entire growth period except within 50 days after germination; for broadleaf seedlings, it provides effective ground sealing before sprouting and leaf expansion; for broadleaf seedlings over 1.6 meters in height, directional application under the canopy is suitable, combining weed eradication and sealing. When used with Jielizhan adjuvant, the effect is enhanced.
Scope of Application: Weed control in coniferous nurseries such as Mongolian pine, Chinese pine, spruce, and oriental arborvitae; weed control in forest land (planted seedlings); weed control in young coniferous forests; orchard weed control; and some broadleaf seedlings.
The cumulative promoted area has reached 8 million mu.
Applicable Tree Species: Weed control in coniferous nurseries and planted seedlings, such as Mongolian pine, Chinese pine, spruce, Huashan pine, larch, oriental arborvitae, fir, cedar, etc., as well as weed control in young coniferous forests, weed control under broadleaf seedling canopies, and orchard weed control.

Practical Guide to Using Seedling Herbicides
There are many types of forestry seedlings, and for each type, there are few specialized herbicides. Over the past two decades, due to large-scale planting of coniferous trees such as Chinese pine, spruce, fir, Mongolian pine, and oriental arborvitae, Yangling Lübao Company has pioneered research on chemical weed control in forestry. From numerous herbicides, Huier and Forest Use Huier have been selected as the main herbicides, supplemented by Quizalofop-p-ethyl and Quizalofop-ethyl, to effectively and safely address the challenge of weed control in forestry nurseries. Specific usage techniques are as follows:
(1) Newly cultivated spruce, Chinese pine, lacebark pine, fir, and yew: Use Forest Use Huier herbicide at 50–100 ml per mu, applied before germination after sowing. The effect lasts for about 2 months, varying by region depending mainly on rainfall and soil conditions; 60 days after germination (when secondary lateral roots form), apply Forest Use Huier again at 30–60 ml per mu. If there are grassy weeds, add 20–30 ml of Quizalofop-p-ethyl per mu for enhanced effectiveness. Ensure the herbicide is applied to the ground and weeds.
(2) Coniferous transplanted seedlings and retained seedlings: Use 50–100 ml of Forest Use Huier per mu with 45 kg of water. For the second application, use 30 kg of water. Depending on weed conditions, add 30–45 ml of Quizalofop-p-ethyl or Quizalofop-ethyl per mu. Note: The seedbed surface should be moist during application for optimal results.
(3) Coniferous trees have varying resistance to Forest Use Huier. Cypress has lower tolerance than pine (indicated by the less than symbol <); spruce < larch < Mongolian pine < Korean pine; newly cultivated seedlings < transplanted seedlings < retained seedlings. Therefore, the dosage for cypress should be lower than for pine, and newly cultivated seedlings should receive a lower dosage than transplanted or retained seedlings. Do not apply when seedlings are diseased.
(4) For cutting propagation of some broadleaf trees such as poplar and willow, apply 100 ml of Forest Use Huier per mu before cutting; for two-year-old seedlings, use Forest Use Huier for ground sealing before sprouting and leaf expansion, applying with water for sealing and weed control. Alternatively, apply Quizalofop-p-ethyl, Quizalofop-ethyl, or Haloxyfop-R-methyl during the 2–4 leaf stage of grassy weeds.
Since herbicides are affected by soil and regional conditions, it is recommended to start with a lower dosage for first-time use and increase based on experience. Small-scale trials can also be conducted, with results visible in 7–10 days. For seedlings (transplanted or retained) during sprouting, use a lower dosage.
Precautions:
1. Choose正规 pesticides with complete certifications to ensure quality. For first-time use, carefully read the product instructions and follow them strictly.
2. Apply herbicides on windless days. Pay attention to the characteristics of the herbicide. Store pesticide bags properly and do not discard them randomly. Store herbicides carefully to avoid accidental ingestion.
3. Clean sprayers promptly after use and keep them dedicated if possible.
4. For个别 stubborn weeds, use a combination of Forest Use Huier + Quizalofop-p-ethyl or Forest Use Huier + Glyphosate for directional control, which is highly effective.
5. For first-time users, conduct a small-scale trial (2 square meters is sufficient) before large-scale application.
