High-temperature resistant PC XHT2171 is a 55 MVR high-flow, high-heat polycarbonate copolymer with high aesthetics, thin walls, and complex designs. It is available in a variety of opaque colors.

Polycarbonate (abbreviated as PC in English), also known as PC plastic, is a high molecular polymer containing carbonate groups in its molecular chain. Based on the structure of the ester group, it can be classified into aliphatic, aromatic, aliphatic-aromatic, and other types. Among these, the mechanical properties of aliphatic and aliphatic-aromatic polycarbonates are relatively low, which limits their application in engineering plastics.

Polycarbonate is a tough thermoplastic resin, and its name derives from the internal groups. It can be synthesized from bisphenol A and phosgene (COCl2). The method more commonly used today is the melt transesterification process (synthesized through transesterification and polycondensation of bisphenol A and diphenyl carbonate).

Other applications include industrial machinery parts, optical discs, packaging, office equipment such as computers, medical and healthcare products, films, leisure and protective equipment, etc. PC can be used as window and door glass, and PC laminated sheets are widely used in protective windows for banks, embassies, detention centers, and public places, as well as in aircraft canopies, lighting equipment, industrial safety barriers, and bulletproof glass.

PC sheets can be used for various signs, such as gasoline pump dials, automobile dashboards, warehouse and outdoor commercial signs, and point-type sliding indicators. PC resin is used in automotive lighting systems, dashboard systems, and interior decoration systems, serving as headlamp covers, reinforced front and rear bumpers, mirror frames, door frame covers, lever protective sleeves, and spoilers. PC is also used in junction boxes, sockets, plugs and sleeves, gaskets, television conversion devices, connectors for communication cables under telephone line brackets, switch boxes, telephone exchanges, and distribution panel components. PC can be used for low-load parts in household appliance motors, vacuum cleaners, hair washers, coffee makers, toasters, and handles for power tools, as well as various gears, worm gears, bushings, guides, and refrigerator shelves. PC is an ideal material for optical disc storage media.

PC bottles (containers) are transparent, lightweight, impact-resistant, and can withstand certain high temperatures and corrosive solution washing, making them suitable as recyclable bottles (containers). PC and PC alloys can be used for computer frames, casings, and peripherals, as well as printer parts. Modified PC is resistant to high-energy radiation sterilization, steam sterilization, and baking disinfection, making it suitable for blood collection devices, blood oxygenators, surgical instruments, kidney dialyzers, etc. PC can also be used for helmets and safety caps, protective masks, sunglasses, and sports goggles. PC films are widely used in printed charts, medical packaging, and membrane commutators.

The application development of polycarbonate is moving toward high composite, high functionality, specialization, and serialization. Various specialized grades have been introduced for products such as optical discs, automobiles, office equipment, cases, packaging, medicine, lighting, and films.
