EN71-3 Applicable Scope:
- Toys in contact with food or mouth;
- Cosmetic toys;
- Writing instruments and stationery classified as toys;
- Accessible parts of toys for children under six years old;

EN71-3 Non-Applicable Scope:
- Packaging materials without play value;
- Inaccessible parts as per the accessibility test specified in EN71-1;
- Other types of toys for children over six years old;

Tested Materials Include:
Coatings, polymers and similar materials, paper and cardboard, textiles, glass, ceramics, metal materials, other materials (including wood, fiberboard, bone products, leather, etc.), trace-leaving materials (such as pencil leads, pen inks, etc.), modeling clay, pigments, etc.

Simulation Test and Judgment:
Testing the leaching amount (mg/kg) of the following 8 metal elements harmful to children's growth and development in various raw materials used in toys simulated by gastric fluid: Antimony (60PPM), Arsenic (25PPM), Barium (1000PPM), Cadmium (75PPM), Chromium (60PPM), Lead (90PPM), Mercury (60PPM), Selenium (500PPM).

EN71 Full Series Standards: EN71-1 to EN71-11 (currently 11 parts in total); general toys, daily necessities, crafts, toy-like products, baby products, etc., must undergo at least EN71-1, -2, and -3 assessments.

CE certification can only be issued after passing the tests of EN71-1, EN71-2, and EN71-3. Failure in any one part prohibits the issuance of a CE certificate.
