Structure and Working Principle of the Filter: The bag filter is a versatile filtration device characterized by its novel structure, compact size, ease of operation, energy efficiency, high performance, enclosed operation, and strong adaptability. It is a pressure-based filtration system primarily composed of a filter cylinder, cylinder cover, quick-opening mechanism, and a stainless steel filter bag with a reinforced mesh. The liquid to be filtered enters the filter bag through the side inlet pipe of the housing. The filter bag is housed within a reinforced basket, allowing liquid to permeate through the bag at the required fineness level, thereby producing filtered liquid while trapping impurity particles. The filter bag can be replaced easily, and the filtration process involves minimal material consumption. Bag Filter Specifications: Bag filters are categorized into single-bag filters, multi-bag filters, and jacketed filters. Multi-bag filters are suitable for high-flow filtration, available in configurations ranging from 2 to 24 bags. The flange diameters for inlet and outlet ports range from φ50–450 mm, with a maximum flow rate of 90–1000 m³/h per unit. A quick-opening design is available for easy filter bag replacement. These filters are also suitable for applications where extended use is desired before replacement. Jacketed Heating Type: Jacketed bag filters feature a double-layer structure where steam or thermal oil can be circulated through the jacket to maintain or increase the fluid temperature, prevent solidification, enhance the filtration speed of viscous liquids, or meet temperature requirements for subsequent processes. Filtration Operation and Precautions: Operation is straightforward: install the filter bag of the required fineness grade into the filter cylinder, ensure the O-ring seal is intact, and then tighten the circular bolts of the cylinder cover to begin operation. After starting the pump, the pressure gauge will show a slight increase, with an initial pressure of approximately 0.05 MPa. Over time, residue accumulation inside the cylinder will cause the pressure to rise. When the pressure reaches 0.4 MPa, stop the machine, open the cylinder cover, and inspect the residue retained by the filter bag. The filter bag can be replaced for continued use (filter bags are generally reusable after cleaning). The operating pressure should typically be maintained between 0.1–0.3 MPa, adjustable via the return pipeline or the pump’s return valve. Excessively high pressure may damage the filter bag and protective mesh, so caution is advised.
