Introduction to Activated Carbon

Activated carbon consists of very small carbon particles with a large surface area and fine pores—capillaries. These capillary pores have strong adsorption capabilities. Due to the extensive surface area of the carbon particles, they can fully contact gases (impurities). When these impurities encounter the capillaries, they are adsorbed.

Exhaust gases are introduced through the inlet of the deodorizer, where the gas flow is evenly diffused and passes horizontally through the deodorizing plates, allowing the exhaust gas to move through the carbon layer. Harmful gases such as hydrocarbons and odors contained in the exhaust gas are removed using the adsorption properties of activated carbon, significantly reducing the odor of the discharged gas and creating a fresh environment in the surrounding area.
