I. Four Major Functional Systems of the Automatic Oil-Water Separator:
1. Combination of stainless steel perforated corrugated inclined plates and inclined plate packing.
The inclined plate material is selected from oleophilic materials such as stainless steel plates and polypropylene packing, facilitating the flotation of oil and the settling of water, as well as the discharge of slag. The stainless steel inclined plates feature numerous evenly distributed small holes. Under the action of the inclined plates, oil droplets more easily coalesce and float. Based on shallow layer theory, the inclined plate packing is designed with a reasonably distanced sedimentation section at the upper part and a geometrically controlled lower part to form a stable contact flocculation zone. This achieves oil-water separation through contact action and shallow pool sedimentation mechanisms.
2. Page-type automatic oil skimming
When the oil level in the separator reaches a certain height, the mechanical oil skimming system automatically activates, scraping the floating oil into the oil collection trough, which then flows into an external oil storage barrel. The barrel is periodically removed once full.
3. Air flotation device 
An air flotation device is installed in the oil separation zone of the separator. It consists of a micro blower and a microporous aerator. For the removal of fine suspended solids and oils with specific gravity close to water, air flotation separation technology is the most effective method. Through a micro-bubble generator produced by the dissolved air system, rapid decompression releases a large number of fine bubbles in the water. These bubbles adhere to the suspended solids or oils in the raw water (or coagulated wastewater), forming suspended matter with an overall density less than 1, which rises to the surface by buoyancy for solid-liquid separation (also reducing BOD, COD, color, etc.).
4. Heating system
To prevent the solidification of animal fats in winter from affecting oil separation and skimming efficiency, our company's automatic oil skimming separator is equipped with a heater in the oil collection area. This ensures that fats do not solidify into blocks at low temperatures, facilitating easier discharge.
