Building Signage

Building signs, along with unit signs, floor signs, house number signs, and fire safety signs, are all part of building identification signs. Building signs are typically hung on the second or third floor of a building. There are also building signs placed in front of the building, though these are generally only used for villas.

Building signs mounted on structures usually range in height from 80 centimeters to 1.2 meters. Due to their higher placement on high-rise buildings, they tend to be relatively larger, while those on multi-story buildings are comparatively smaller. Building signs are often vertically elongated because, due to perspective, objects viewed from below appear compressed vertically. Villa building signs are usually smaller, with heights around 65 centimeters. For building signs erected in front of doors, the height typically ranges from 1.6 meters to 2.5 meters.

A variety of materials are used for building signs, such as steel plates, stainless steel plates, acrylic boards, insulating boards, and PVC boards. Steel plates can be finished with baked paint, screen printing, or embossed lettering techniques. The thickness is generally no less than 2 cm, allowing for hanging and fixing. Acrylic boards, insulating boards, and PVC boards are typically around 1.5 cm thick and can be affixed with adhesive. However, it is important to note that insulating boards have a relatively high density, so a combination of adhesive and nail support is generally recommended for secure fixation.
