Bulletin Board    

A bulletin board is a display item placed in high-traffic areas for posting public documents, notices, announcements, and other informative content. Generally, there are two types: one is a large bulletin board, mainly erected next to gates, major intersections, etc., used for large-scale notifications and announcements; the other is a unit bulletin board or class bulletin board, usually pasted or hung on walls, used for small-scale notifications and reminders.

The materials for bulletin boards are mostly steel plates, stainless steel plates, wood, or aluminum profiles. Steel and stainless steel bulletin boards often use baked enamel processes with surface anti-corrosion treatment. They can be buried underground or fixed to hardened floor surfaces with expansion screws. To shield against sunlight and rain, bulletin boards usually have a canopy. Bulletin boards can have front-opening or rear-opening designs; front-opening ones use glass locks, while rear-opening ones can use ordinary locks. The content is often displayed as printed images or paper materials. Personally, I think rear-opening bulletin boards are better, as they offer better waterproofing and dust resistance compared to front-opening ones. Wooden bulletin boards are mostly used in gardens and are less practical, generally only suitable for outdoor printed images. Since wooden bulletin boards cannot protect the content behind glass, the content is exposed and thus unprotected.

Large bulletin boards are typically over 2.2 meters in height and may or may not have a canopy. Those without a canopy can be slightly shorter. The canopy material is often polycarbonate sheets, but it can also be glass or stainless steel plates. The width is usually around 2.5 meters, though there are also vertical bulletin boards with widths of about 1 meter. When determining the width of a bulletin board, consider the size of the content to be placed inside. The width is generally an integer multiple of the poster width plus an additional ten or so centimeters to make more efficient use of the bulletin board's promotional space. Unit bulletin boards are usually less than 1 meter in width, with horizontal versions being more common. Common specifications include 600mm*800mm.
