E43 Silicone Rubber Adhesive

Wacker ELASTOSIL E43 from Germany is a self-leveling silicone rubber with good mechanical properties, curing at room temperature when activated by moisture in the air.

Wacker E43 is an elastomeric silicone rubber, single-component, acetic acid-curing, fully cured within 24 hours at room temperature.

Appearing as a transparent paste-like fluid, this product offers excellent temperature resistance (-60°C to 180°C) and superior sealing and bonding performance. It adheres well to many substrates, especially ideal for bonding silicone rubber to silicone rubber products.

Additionally, Wacker E43 has good insulation, radiation resistance, and chemical stability.

Operation Process

1. Surface Cleaning: Clean the surface to be bonded or coated, removing rust, dust, oil, etc.

2. Application: Unscrew the cap and apply the adhesive to the cleaned surface of the material, spreading it evenly. Let it sit at room temperature for 1-2 minutes, then join and fix the bonding surfaces under pressure (typically 5-10 minutes).

After operation, immediately tighten the cap on any unused adhesive and store it sealed.

For subsequent use, if there is slight skin formation at the opening, remove it without affecting normal use.

The adhesive fully cures after 24 hours at room temperature (for a 1mm thickness at 25°C). If the bonding area is deep, especially in areas not easily exposed to air, the full curing time may be extended. Lower temperatures will also prolong curing time.

It is recommended to test bonding strength only after the product is fully cured for optimal results.

Storage

Store and transport sealed at 25°C, avoiding high temperatures and freezing during storage.

Safety

This product is non-hazardous and can be stored and transported as such, with a shelf life of 12 months.
