Exporting data and measurement results from the DPO4054B oscilloscope is as simple as connecting a USB cable from the oscilloscope to your computer. Key software applications—OpenChoice Desktop, along with Microsoft Excel and Word toolbars—are standard with every oscilloscope, enabling quick and easy direct communication with your Windows PC. The included OpenChoice Desktop supports fast and convenient communication between the oscilloscope and PC via USB or LAN for transferring settings, waveforms, and screen images.

The embedded e*Scope feature allows for quick control of the oscilloscope through a standard web browser over a network connection. Simply enter the IP address or network name of the oscilloscope, and a web page will be provided to the browser. Transfer and save settings, waveforms, measurements, screen images, or make real-time control changes to settings displayed on the oscilloscope directly from the web browser.

The DPO4054B Mixed Signal Oscilloscope is a feature-rich tool designed for debugging mixed-signal designs. It integrates the analysis capabilities of up to 20 analog and digital signals, allowing users to quickly locate and diagnose issues in complex designs. This oscilloscope offers a 500 MHz bandwidth and achieves a minimum 5X oversampling on all channels, ensuring the performance needed to capture fast-changing signal details.

This oscilloscope provides standard deep memory length of up to 20M points on all channels to capture signal activity over long time windows while maintaining high timing resolution. With the industry-leading Wave Inspector navigation and search tools, users can find the desired activity in seconds, enabling rapid waveform navigation, automatic serial and parallel bus analysis, limit testing, and automatic power analysis.

The DPO4054B's Digital Phosphor Technology allows it to quickly reveal the actual operating conditions of devices. With a waveform capture rate exceeding 50,000 waveforms per second, it helps rapidly detect rare anomalies in digital systems, such as bad pulses, glitches, and timing issues. The waveform intensity grading feature enhances points of frequently occurring waveforms, quickly highlighting events that occur more or less frequently over time.

This oscilloscope is equipped with TPP0500 probes, which are standard with every DPO4054B, providing 500 MHz analog bandwidth and less than 4 pF capacitive loading. This extremely low capacitive loading minimizes circuit impact and allows for longer ground leads. Additionally, the probe's bandwidth matches that of the oscilloscope, ensuring the observation of high-frequency components in signals, which is critical for high-speed applications.

For serial bus debugging, the DPO4054B offers a robust set of tools supporting automatic triggering, decoding, and searching for multiple serial protocols, including I2C, SPI, USB, Ethernet, CAN, LIN, FlexRay, RS-232/422/485/UART, MIL-STD-1553, and I2S/LJ/RJ/TDM. Furthermore, the oscilloscope provides optional power analysis tools for quick and accurate analysis of power quality, switching losses, harmonics, safe operating area (SOA), modulation, ripple, and slew rate.

The DPO4054B also includes limit and test functions, suitable for long-term signal monitoring, signal characterization during design, or production line testing. Users can create custom masks based on telecommunications and computer standards for signal characterization. Additionally, the oscilloscope features the TekVPI probe interface, setting a new standard for probe ease of use, supporting direct connection of current probes without separate power supplies, and enabling remote control via USB, GPIB, or LAN for versatile solutions in ATE environments.
