CMS54 Operation Instructions
I. Level Measurement Operation Steps
1. Turn on the spectrum analyzer;
2. Press the mode selection "Mode" key on the left side of the key matrix, and a column of mode options appears on the right side of the LCD screen;
3. Click the button on the right side of the LCD screen corresponding to "Spectrum Analyzer" to enter the spectrum measurement mode;
4. Press the "Meas" key in the lower left corner of the key matrix (i.e., the measurement item selection key), and a column of test options appears on the right side of the LCD screen;
5. Click the right button corresponding to "Channel Power" to enter the level measurement interface;
6. Press the "Meas Setup" key on the key matrix, and a column of level detection settings appears on the right side of the LCD screen;
7. Click the right button corresponding to "Integ BW" (i.e., representing the measurement bandwidth), enter the bandwidth of the measured frequency point on the numeric keypad. At this time, a column of units appears on the LCD screen. Click the right button corresponding to the desired unit (for example, if the bandwidth of the measured frequency point is 8MHz, click 8 on the numeric keypad, then click the right button corresponding to MHz on the LCD screen);
8. Press the "FREQ Channel" key on the key matrix, and a column of frequency setting options appears on the right side of the LCD screen;
9. Click "Center FREQ", type the center frequency of the measured frequency point on the numeric keypad. At this time, a column of units appears on the LCD screen. Click the right button corresponding to the desired unit;
10. The level of the measured frequency point is displayed in the lower left corner of the LCD screen, in the format of "*dBm/8MHz", representing the power within 8MHz;
11. If the power value does not meet expectations, you can try pressing the "AMPTD" key on the key matrix, then click "Attenuation", and press the calibration button to calibrate the level measurement value.
II. Spurious Output Suppression Ratio (Out-of-Band Suppression) Measurement Operation Steps
1. Turn on the spectrum analyzer;
2. Press the mode selection "Mode" key on the left side of the key matrix, and a column of mode options appears on the right side of the LCD screen;
3. Click the button on the right side of the LCD screen corresponding to "Spectrum Analyzer" to enter the spectrum measurement mode;
4. Press the "Meas" key in the lower left corner of the key matrix (i.e., the measurement item selection key), and a column of test options appears on the right side of the LCD screen;
5. Click the right button corresponding to "Swept SA" to enter the spectrum measurement interface;
6. Press the "FREQ Channel" key, and a column of frequency setting options appears on the right side of the LCD screen;
7. Click the right button corresponding to "Start FREQ", and enter 45 through the numeric keypad. At this time, a column of units appears on the right side of the LCD screen, from top to bottom: "GHz", "MHz", and "Hz". Click the right button corresponding to "MHz";
8. Click the right button corresponding to "Start FREQ", and enter 1 through the numeric keypad. At this time, a column of units appears on the right side of the LCD screen, from top to bottom: "GHz", "MHz", and "Hz". Click the right button corresponding to "GHz". Through steps 7~8, the spectrum measurement range is set to 45MHz~1GHz;
9. Press the "Trace/" key on the key matrix, and a column of options appears on the right side of the LCD screen;
10. Click the right button corresponding to "Trace Average" to set the spectrum display to average mode;
11. Press the "BW" key on the key matrix, and a column of options appears on the right side of the LCD screen;
12. Click the right button corresponding to "Res BW" so that "Man" under "Res BW" on the LCD screen is selected;
13. Then enter 100 through the numeric keypad. At this time, a column of units appears on the right side of the LCD screen. Click the right button corresponding to "KHz"; (Through steps 9~13, the out-of-band measurement is made more accurate)
14. Press the "Marker" key on the key matrix;
15. Press the "Peak Search" key on the key matrix. The marker point is displayed on the spectrum point on the LCD screen, and a column of options appears on the right side of the LCD screen;

Rohde & Schwarz CMS54 Radio Comprehensive Tester CMS54
CMS54
Main Features
The wireless communication maintenance tester CMS series consists of four modules. These wireless testers allow for transmitter, receiver, and duplex measurements on mobile broadcasting equipment, base stations, or RF modules.
The CMS series monitors are ideal wireless testers for maintenance, service, and testing departments.
CMS – CMS54 can replace many single measurement instrument test setups
Due to the complex standard configuration of individual modules and the customizable option extensions for specific applications, external measurement instruments outside CMS are no longer needed.
Module Overview
CMS50
Budget-priced module for maintenance applications:
