Carbon Steel Four-Way Sight Glass

Carbon Steel Four-Way Sight Glass can be used in chemical towers with high temperatures, strong corrosiveness, high toxicity, significant hazards, and prone to crystallization to ensure safe production. Structure: The sight glass mainly consists of a base plate, sight glass, valve assembly, etc.

Straight-Through Sight Glass Usage:

(1) Cleaning. Before use, gently wipe the surface with an appropriate amount of alcohol cotton. Note: Do not use acidic liquids for cleaning to avoid corroding the outer surface of the glass.

(2) Correctly select the gasket. For environments with working temperatures up to 280 degrees, asbestos or PTFE gaskets are sufficient. When the working temperature exceeds 500°C, it is recommended to use graphite gaskets. Note: The thicker the glass, the thicker the gasket selected should be accordingly.

(3) Apply force evenly. During installation, avoid using excessive or abrupt force. It is recommended to tighten the screws evenly in a diagonal pattern.

  (4) Regular inspection. After installation, the sight glass must undergo regular inspections, especially in environments containing acidic or alkaline liquids, to monitor the degree of corrosion on the glass surface and ensure the safety of frontline operators.

Four-Way Sight Glass Maintenance and Care: 1. The sight glass is used to observe the flow reactions of liquids, gases, steam, and other media. Its window glass should be kept clean and free of dust; 2. The window glass of the sight glass is a fragile component. Handle with care during installation; 3. A gasket should be placed between the glass and metal to ensure sealing and shock absorption.
