1. Different Capacities

In practical applications, steam generators have a relatively small capacity, with a tonnage range of 1-2 tons (per unit), making them suitable for industries with lower steam production requirements.

In contrast, steam boilers have a wider range of tonnage values. Boilers can be categorized by evaporation capacity, making them suitable for industries with high steam production demands.

2. Different Operating Temperatures

The operating temperatures of steam generators and steam boilers also differ. Steam generators, with their smaller tonnage, operate at around 170 degrees Celsius, while steam boilers operate at 200 degrees Celsius or higher.

3. Different Safety Levels

Steam boilers have higher pressure values, which can pose certain risks. Steam generators, on the other hand, have a higher safety factor. Their pressure values are lower than those of boilers, and when critical levels are reached, intelligent controls activate, cutting off water, electricity, and gas to initiate automatic protection procedures, thereby enhancing safety to some extent.

4. Different Registration and Inspection Requirements

It is well known that steam boilers operate under high pressure and have a degree of instability, so their operation requires registration and filing. Additionally, China has specialized quality supervision departments that conduct annual inspections to ensure safe usage. Steam generators, being smaller equipment, do not require registration or acceptance inspections; they can start operation after installation and debugging.

5. Different Energy Efficiency Rates

Traditional boilers consume relatively more energy during operation. Steam generators, during production, can utilize high-temperature flue gas as a heat source for recovery, saving fuel consumption. The IoT-enabled intelligent frequency conversion system is more energy-efficient compared to the frequent start-stop cycles of traditional three-stage fire boilers. In terms of energy efficiency, steam generators have a clear advantage.
