Reverse Osmosis Membrane Scale Inhibitor RO1000

Sokalan®RO 1000 is an aqueous solution of sodium polycarboxylate produced by BASF. It is a broad-spectrum scale inhibitor designed to prevent the formation of inorganic scale in membrane-based processes. Sokalan®RO 1000 is a phosphorous-free chemical.

Sokalan®RO 1000 scale inhibitor offers a wide range of performance and application advantages: 1. Effectively controls the deposition of scale-forming salts on the membrane surface—particularly effective in preventing magnesium hydroxide scale. 2. Reduces colloidal particles and sludge contaminants on the membrane surface. 3. Compatible with synthetic thin-film compounds (polyamide) and leading manufacturers' cellulose acetate reverse osmosis membranes. 4. Certified under ANSI/NSF Standard 60 for use in producing potable water. Sokalan®RO 1000 is not affected by chlorine or other oxidizing biocides under normal usage conditions and can be used in membrane systems employing chlorine and sodium metabisulfite.
