Reverse Osmosis Membrane Scale Inhibitor RO100

Sokalan®RO 100 is an aqueous solution of low molecular weight polyacrylic acid produced by BASF. It is a broad-spectrum scale inhibitor designed to prevent the formation of inorganic scale in membrane-based processes. Sokalan®RO 100 is a chemical with low phosphorus content.

Sokalan®RO 100 scale inhibitor offers various performance characteristics and application advantages: 1. Inhibits scaling on reverse osmosis membranes caused by the following substances: —Calcium carbonate (CaCO₃); —Calcium sulfate (CaSO₄); —Barium sulfate (BaSO₄); 2. Reduces colloidal particles and silt contaminants on the membrane surface; 3. Compatible with synthetic film compounds (polyamide) and cellulose acetate reverse osmosis membranes from leading manufacturers; 4. Certified under ANSI/NSF Standard 60 for use in producing drinking water. Sokalan®RO 100 is not affected by chlorine or other oxidizing biocides under normal usage conditions and can be used in membrane systems employing chlorine and sodium metabisulfite.
