Anodizing Solution Cooling and Heating Unit

Unit Introduction

1. Electroplating: Electroplating is the process of applying a thin layer of other metal or alloy onto the surface of certain metals using electrolysis. During electroplating, an electrolyte containing ions of the plating metal is typically used as the electroplating solution. The metal product to be plated is immersed in the electroplating solution and connected to the negative terminal of a DC power supply as the cathode, while the plating metal serves as the anode, connected to the positive terminal. A low-voltage direct current is applied, causing the anode metal to dissolve into the solution as cations, which move toward the cathode. These ions gain electrons at the cathode and are reduced to metal, coating the metal product that requires plating.

2. Anodizing: A treatment process where metal or non-metal products serve as the anode in a specific electrolyte under particular working conditions. Through the action of direct current, an anti-corrosion oxide film is formed on their surface.

3. The temperature of electroplating and anodizing solutions is controlled by the anodizing solution cooling and heating unit. The temperature is adjustable, maintaining the solution within the required range for electroplating and anodizing, thereby improving the yield rate of electroplated and anodized products.

4. To meet industry requirements for corrosion resistance, heat exchangers made of titanium or 316 stainless steel are used. Temperature control enhances productivity and product quality. In the electroplating, anodizing, and electrophoretic industries, the anodizing solution cooling and heating unit helps stabilize metal and non-metal ions, allowing metal ions to quickly adhere to electroplated, anodized, or electrophoretic products. This reduces the number of electroplating and anodizing cycles and increases productivity.

Unit Features:

1. Stable Performance: The unit employs multiple compressors in parallel, each with its own independent refrigeration circuit, including separate evaporators and condensers. All compressors are controlled by a unified microcomputer system, starting and stopping sequentially without interference. With all components made from genuine parts, the failure rate is extremely low, ensuring stable performance and continuous long-term operation without the need for backup units.

2. Energy Efficiency: The use of multiple small to medium-power compressors in parallel minimizes grid disturbance during startup and shutdown. The unit automatically determines the number of compressors to operate based on load changes, ensuring optimal working conditions and effective energy savings.

3. Long Service Life: The evaporator and condenser are designed rationally and positioned above the compressor. During operation, most of the oil remains in the compressor, ensuring good lubrication.

4. Scientifically designed with optimized technical parameters, the unit features advanced and reasonable performance indicators. Custom modifications are available to meet user requirements for different performance specifications.

Refrigeration Principle

The compressor operates, converting low-temperature, low-pressure gaseous refrigerant into high-temperature, high-pressure gaseous refrigerant, which enters the condenser. Part of the heat from the refrigerant in the condenser is expelled by external cooling water or cooling fans. After releasing heat, the refrigerant liquefies into a high-temperature, high-pressure liquid and flows through a dryer filter for drying and filtration. It then passes through an expansion valve for throttling (rapid cooling) and pressure reduction, becoming a low-temperature, low-pressure liquid that enters the evaporator for heat exchange. The low-temperature, low-pressure liquid refrigerant absorbs heat from the surrounding medium (anodizing solution). During heat absorption, the refrigerant temperature remains constant while its volume changes. The absorbed heat turns the low-pressure liquid refrigerant into a low-temperature, low-pressure gas, which returns to the compressor. After compression, it becomes a high-temperature, high-pressure gas and re-enters the condenser, completing the refrigeration cycle. This effectively cools the anodizing solution, maintaining it at the desired temperature.

Heating Principle

Based on the refrigeration principle, the compressor operates, converting low-temperature, low-pressure gaseous refrigerant into high-temperature, high-pressure gas. This gas passes through a four-way valve and a liquid storage tank before entering the condenser. The heat in the condenser is utilized to heat water in a tank, with water temperatures reaching up to 90°C. After releasing heat, the refrigerant liquefies into a high-temperature, high-pressure liquid and flows through a dryer filter for drying and filtration. It then passes through an expansion valve for throttling and pressure reduction, becoming a low-temperature, low-pressure liquid that enters the evaporator for heat exchange. The low-temperature, low-pressure liquid refrigerant absorbs heat from the surrounding medium (water or oil). During heat absorption, the refrigerant temperature remains constant while its volume changes. The absorbed heat turns the low-pressure liquid refrigerant into a low-temperature, low-pressure gas, which returns to the compressor. After compression, it becomes a high-temperature, high-pressure gas and re-enters the condenser, completing the air-source heat pump cycle. This effectively heats the anodizing solution, bringing it to the required temperature for electroplating or anodizing.
