Pharmaceutical excipient disodium edetate, Nanshi

Medicinal Disodium Edetate is a white or milky crystalline or granular powder, odorless and tasteless or slightly salty, soluble in water, almost insoluble in ethanol. Its aqueous solution has a pH of approximately 5.3. Melting point is 252°C, density is 1.01, molecular formula is C10H14N2O8Na2·2H2O, molecular weight is 372.24. It should be stored in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse, away from fire and heat sources, and kept separate from oxidizing agents. Avoid mixed storage.


Medicinal Disodium Edetate uses: Chelating agent, calcium, magnesium, and other metal reagents, metal masking agent. Disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate is an important chelating agent used for complexing metal ions and separating metals.
