Hydrogen Fluoride Unit - PFA Condensation Reflux Distillation Unit
Other Products
The PFA hydrogen fluoride unit is a specialized device designed for the handling of hydrogen fluoride (HF) and fluorine-containing compounds. Its core advantages lie in the strong corrosion resistance, high purity, and temperature tolerance of the PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) material, making it suitable for the preparation and recovery of high-purity hydrofluoric acid in fields such as semiconductors, chemical industry, and nuclear energy.
I. Core Components
Reaction Unit
PFA Reaction Flask: Round-bottom/flat-bottom flasks (250mL-50L), available in single-neck, three-neck, or four-neck designs, equipped with liquid level gauge observation windows. Standard interfaces are 17/19/24 ports with threaded seals for easy disassembly and cleaning.
Distillation Module: PFA jacketed reaction kettle or round-bottom flask, paired with PFA distillation heads and tail adapters, supporting high-temperature distillation (≤260°C) and vacuum operations.
Condensation Unit
PFA Condenser Tube: Coiled or straight designs, connectable to liquid nitrogen or ethanol-dry ice coolant for low-temperature condensation down to -80°C.
Collection and Auxiliary Unit
Receiving Device: PFA receiving bottles (100mL-3L) or FEP reagent bottles, featuring drain valves and transparent material for easy observation.
Liquid Separation System: Constant-pressure dropping funnels (PFA/FEP material) or separatory funnels, supporting inert gas protection to avoid contamination.
Distillation Column (for high-purity requirements): PFA packed column with over 50 theoretical plates, paired with a reboiler for deep purification of HF.
II. Core Features
Corrosion Resistance: Resistant to HF, aqua regia, strong acids, and alkalis, with no metal ion leaching (e.g., Na/Fe/Cu leaching <0.1ppb), meeting semiconductor-grade HF impurity control (<0.5ppt).
Temperature Resistance: Suitable for temperatures from -200°C to +260°C, with high-temperature creep resistance superior to PTFE.
Transparent Visibility: Semi-transparent material allows easy observation of liquid levels, reaction states, and bubble phenomena.
III. Typical Applications
Semiconductor Manufacturing: Purification of electronic-grade HF (metal impurities <1ppb) for 12-inch wafer cleaning.
Fluorochemical Industry: Synthesis of fluorine-containing compounds, waste HF recovery, and nuclear fuel processing.
Pharmaceuticals/Petroleum: Condensation and recovery of fluorine-containing organic compounds to enhance product purity.
