Pneumatic valves require maintenance of the pneumatic actuator and the valve itself. The pneumatic actuator should be inspected for operation and air leakage. Precautions for valve maintenance
Requirements
1. Valves should be stored indoors in a dry and ventilated environment, with both ends of the passage sealed.
2. Valves stored for extended periods should be regularly inspected, cleaned of debris, and coated with anti-rust oil on machined surfaces.
3. After installation, regular inspections should be conducted, focusing on the following items:
(1) Wear condition of the sealing surfaces.
(2) Wear condition of the trapezoidal threads on the valve stem and valve stem nut.
(3) Whether the packing is outdated or ineffective; if damaged, it should be replaced promptly.
(4) After valve maintenance and assembly, a sealing performance test should be conducted.

    For valves in operation, all components should be complete and in good condition. Bolts on flanges and brackets must not be missing, and threads should be intact without any looseness.

The fastening nuts on the handwheel should be tightened promptly if looseness is detected to prevent wear at the connection or loss of the handwheel and nameplate. If the handwheel is missing, it must not be replaced with an adjustable wrench; it should be properly replaced in a timely manner. The packing gland must not be tilted or lack preload clearance. For valves in environments prone to contamination by rain, snow, dust, or sand, the valve stem should be equipped with a protective cover. The scale on the valve should remain intact, accurate, and clear. Seals, caps, pneumatic accessories, etc., on the valve should be complete and in good condition. Insulation jackets should be free of dents or cracks. Do not strike, stand on, or support heavy objects on valves in operation; this is especially critical for non-metal valves and cast iron valves.
