Submersible Sewage Pump Maintenance

To ensure the normal operation and longevity of the submersible sewage pump, regular inspections and maintenance should be performed:

1. Replace the sealing ring: After prolonged use in sewage media, the gap between the impeller and the sealing ring may increase, leading to reduced pump flow and efficiency. Turn off the power, lift the pump, remove the bottom cover, take out the sealing ring, and fit a new sealing ring according to the actual size of the impeller's mouth ring. The gap should generally be around 0.5mm.

2. When not in use for an extended period, clean the pump, lift it, and store it in a well-ventilated and dry area, taking care to prevent freezing. If stored in water, operate it for at least 30 minutes every 15 days (avoid dry running) to check its functionality and adaptability.

3. Inspect the cable at least once a year. If it is damaged, replace it.

4. Check the motor insulation and tightening screws at least once a year. If the motor insulation deteriorates, seek professional repair services. If the tightening screws are loose, retighten them.

5. An appropriate amount of oil has been injected before leaving the factory to lubricate the mechanical seal. This oil should be checked annually. If water is found in the oil, drain it, replace the oil, change the sealing gasket, and tighten the plug. Recheck after one month. If the oil becomes emulsified again, inspect the mechanical seal and replace it if necessary.
