Uses: | Used as a multi-purpose desiccant. Serves as a dehydrating agent in the production of alcohols, esters, ethers, and acrylic resins. Calcium chloride aqueous solution is an important refrigerant for freezers and ice making, and an excellent building antifreeze. Used as a fog dispersant in ports and a road dust suppressant, as well as a fabric fire retardant. Functions as a protective agent and refining agent in aluminum and magnesium metallurgy. Acts as a precipitating agent for producing lake pigments. Used in waste paper processing for deinking. | ||||
