This product is safety fireproof glass installed on fireplaces. It can be in direct contact with an open flame and withstands temperatures up to 950 degrees Celsius. It can burn continuously for three days and nights without damage. It also resists cracking when splashed with water.
Uses of Fireplace Glass
Fireplaces have their unique advantages: air conditioners provide poor heating effects, with slow indoor temperature rise and dry, uncomfortable indoor air. When the room temperature is below -10°C, air conditioners lose their heating capacity and cannot achieve the desired heating effect. Real fire fireplaces mainly achieve heating through the combustion of wood or compressed wood. The heating power far exceeds that of various air conditioners and heaters. At temperatures of -10°C, a fireplace can raise the indoor temperature to above 20°C within about 10 minutes in a 40-100 square meter house. The heat transfer of a fireplace is similar to that of the sun, primarily through thermal radiation and natural convection. The center of the fireplace can reach several hundred degrees, with the temperature gradually decreasing in a fan shape. The uneven temperature creates air convection, regulates indoor dryness and humidity, and brings balance to living environments. The radiated heat, like sunlight, contains infrared rays that can sterilize and驱潮, making people feel very warm and comfortable.
Differences between imported and domestic glass:
1. Imported real fire fireplace glass can be processed into larger sizes, while domestic glass can only be processed into smaller sizes, typically only 300*400mm, whereas imported glass can reach up to 1100*1954mm.
2. The thickness of imported real fire fireplace glass is more standard, with a general error of ±0.2mm. Domestic glass has larger thickness errors, generally between 0.5~1mm, and the thickness error within the same piece of glass can also vary between 0.5~1mm.
3. In terms of performance, imported fireplace glass is superior to domestic glass. Imported real fire fireplace glass production technology is mature, with nearly a century of experience in glass processing and production technology. Domestic fireplace glass technology is relatively落后, and the various performance aspects of domestic fireplace glass are still relatively unstable, with a higher爆板率 compared to imported glass.
Processing methods available from Nuokunda:
1. Cutting: Can be cut into various circles, squares, and rectangles.
2. Edge grinding: The glass we provide is mechanically ground, with smooth edges that do not cut hands.
3. Chamfering: Our real fire fireplace glass comes with chamfered edges. The four corners are randomly chamfered with R or C corners. If you have specific requirements for chamfering, please inform us when ordering.
Precautions for fireplace glass installation:
1. Although the thermal expansion coefficient of fireplace glass panels is close to zero, we need to consider the thermal expansion coefficient of the frame material when designing the door frame. The assembly tolerance between the frame and the glass panel must be considered (generally, some gaps need to be reserved for the thermal expansion and contraction of the frame material).
2. During installation, bending of the panel due to contact must be eliminated. This can be achieved by limiting torque or using a system that limits thread depth (in simple terms, when installing the glass, do not tighten the screws too much, and do not compress the glass to deformation, otherwise it may cause the glass to break during use).
3. The glass panel should not be in direct contact with the metal frame. It is recommended to use thermally stable, permanently elastic sealing materials (such as asbestos rope, glass fiber, and other high-temperature soft sealing materials).
4. During installation, the glass panel must be protected, especially the vulnerable edges, to prevent scratches, collisions, and other damages.
5. If high-temperature silicone is used on the glass panel, the elastic limit of the silicone must be considered. Due to the excellent adhesion between glass and silicone, exceeding the limit may cause the glass to break.
Selection of sealing materials:
Materials used for sealing fireplace installations include asbestos rope, graphite packing, refractory cotton, glass fiber cotton, etc.
Note: Do not use glue to directly adhere the glass to the door frame.
Installation misconceptions:
Many customers need to replace the original glass after it breaks, but the original installation method may not be correct. The most typical issue is metal clips pressing directly on the glass without any soft material between the metal clips and the glass. After the fireplace is lit, the metal expands under high temperature, directly applying pressure to the glass, causing it to break under external force.
The correct installation method requires placing soft refractory materials, such as asbestos cloth, between the glass and metal clips, and ensuring the installation is not too tight.
Explanation of dimensional tolerances:
Glass processing always involves tolerances. For circular glass pieces with dimensions within 200mm, we can control the error to within -0.5mm. For circles larger than 200mm, the dimensional error is generally around 1mm. Square and rectangular pieces have larger errors; typically, smaller尺寸 have tolerances of around 1mm, while larger glass pieces may have errors of 2-3mm. If you require high dimensional accuracy, please consult customer service before ordering to confirm if we can meet your requirements before placing an order.
Product packaging:
For small-sized glass, we generally use cardboard boxes with foam board packaging and ship via Deppon Express, with no packaging fee charged.
For large-sized and large-quantity orders, wooden crates are used for packaging, and an additional wooden crate fee will be charged.
Regarding shipping issues:
Since this product is made of glass and is fragile, customers must inspect the goods upon delivery to ensure they are intact before signing for them. If damage is found, please take photos promptly, inform customer service, and refuse to sign for the delivery. We will then arrange for a replacement shipment.
If damage is discovered after signing for the delivery, no replacement will be provided.
