Molybdenum Carbon Phosphate

Product Characteristics: Appearance is a blue-gray-black lustrous fine powder with a smooth and greasy feel. Mohs hardness 0.8–1.3, friction coefficient 0.05–0.1, oil absorption value 2.6–4.0, melting point 850°C, does not sublime, with good chemical and thermal stability. In the atmosphere, it begins to oxidize gradually above 600°C. Insoluble in dilute acids, alkalis, solvents, lubricating oils, and synthetic greases, and does not undergo chemical reactions. Easily disperses on the surface of oil molecules and, upon contact with metal surfaces, undergoes internal phosphating to form a wear-resistant layer and a surface adhesion layer. These two layers are resistant to extreme pressure and friction, have no adverse effects on metal surfaces, and do not corrode rubber materials.

Applications: 1. Can be used as an excellent solid lubricant material, replacing molybdenum disulfide in various fields, for producing various extreme pressure anti-wear greases, and as an additive for anti-wear, extreme pressure resistance, oxidation resistance, acid corrosion resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance. Recommended dosage 2–3%, directly added to the grease and stirred evenly. Examples: molybdenum disulfide extreme pressure lithium-based grease, composite lithium-based grease, composite calcium-based grease, synthetic grease, non-soap-based high-grade greases, etc. 2. As a solid lubricant: Applied directly to friction areas or added for use in high-temperature environments of 600°C–1000°C and in chemically corrosive conditions, offering excellent lubrication. 3. Production of self-lubricating components: Mixed with resin and injection-molded to produce resin bearings and other components. Mixed with metal materials and cast to produce metal self-lubricating bearings and other components. 4. Release agent: Used as a release agent in the injection molding industry for metals, non-ferrous metals, rubber, plastics, etc. 5. Used in the production of brake pads, easily polymerizes with resin, improves the wear resistance of brake pads, and extends service life.
