Clariant Wax Powder 3620 improves ink wear resistance, enhances abrasion and scratch resistance, and provides matting and dispersion.
Other Products
Clariant Ceridust Wax 3620 is a microcrystalline, colorless, odorless, high-density polyethylene wax with an average particle size of approximately 8.5 microns. Due to the toughness of polyethylene and its suitable particle size distribution, Clariant Ceridust Wax 3620 provides excellent abrasion resistance and anti-blocking properties for paste and liquid inks. It is widely used in solvent-based flatbed, gravure, and offset surface printing and composite printing inks. Produced by Clariant in Germany.
It offers excellent surface properties such as abrasion resistance, scratch resistance, anti-adhesion, and increased slip for inks, preventing paper friction during high-speed printing from wearing the ink surface and affecting print quality. It also prevents sheets from sticking together and eliminates the phenomenon of ink film easily peeling off the rollers during high-speed printing. It can be directly added to inks, is easy to use, and reduces costs.
Typical Applications:
Clariant Ceridust Wax 3620 is easily dispersible and is generally added to printing inks in the final stage of the production process. For solid inks, the additive needs to be stirred first in a high-speed mixer (dissolver) and then uniformly dispersed with a three-roll mill. For liquid inks, a stirrer with high shear force, such as a dissolver or sand mill, can be used.
The specific addition amount depends on the system and formulation used, generally ranging from 0.8% to 2% of the total formulation. It is then added to the printing ink.
