Introduction

Water-resistant silica gel is a non-homogeneous molded silica gel made from general-purpose silica gel through further processing. It appears as white or gray porous granules, insoluble in water and inorganic acids, with its main component being SiO₂·nH₂O.

Applications

1. This product is mainly used for drying and purifying compressed air, serving as an adsorbent for acetylene and carbon dioxide in the air separation industry; as a carrier for industrial catalysts; for drying industrial gases, water purification, and other aspects. It acts as a desiccant for various gases, a pre-stage buffer desiccant for molecular sieves and silica gel protection beds, a catalyst carrier, and an ion adsorbent.

2. Air drying, acetylene adsorption in the preparation process of liquid air and liquid oxygen.

3. Used as a liquid adsorbent and catalyst carrier in industries such as petrochemicals, power, and brewing, and for water purification in water treatment.
