Coarse-pore microsphere silica gel appears white, transparent, or semi-transparent. It has a uniform microporous structure internally, with stable physicochemical properties, excellent thermal stability, and high mechanical strength. Its average pore diameter is 8.0-12.0 nm.

Coarse-pore microsphere silica gel is used as a catalyst carrier in industrial production,for the extraction and separation of artemisinin,widely employed in the refining and removal of aromatics from petrochemical products, and also for the selective adsorption and separation of organic gases and liquids, as well as ion exchangeagents. It is additionally used for the dry storage of materials, equipment, and other items, and for the dehydration and purification of high-purity gases.
