Properties:White or off-white powder, m.p. 54°C, decomposes at ≥340°C, relative density 1.1.

Solubility:Insoluble in cold water (27 ppm at 25°C), soluble in methanol, ethanol, benzene, chloroform, and other organic solvents.

Uses:Compared to natural capsaicin, synthetic capsaicin significantly reduces usage costs. The synthetic capsaicin produced by our company has high content, low dosage, excellent properties, high cost-effectiveness, and a wide range of applications, mainly including:

1. Rodent repellent for wires and cables

As a rodent repellent, it is added to the plastic sheaths of wires, cables, and optical cables to prevent damage from rodents and termites. The recommended dosage is 0.6–3.0%.

2. Antifouling coatings

In ship coating production, it is used as an additive in antifouling paints to replace toxic organotin compounds, effectively preventing the attachment of algae and shellfish to ships, offshore platforms, and underwater facilities, while being pollution-free. In building material production, it is used to manufacture termite-resistant coatings, offering high efficacy, durability, and excellent performance.

3. Biopesticides

The microemulsion made from this product is a novel plant-derived, environmentally friendly biopesticide. It has good contact-killing and repellent effects, providing high efficacy, long-lasting action, and biodegradability for crop pest control, with no pollution to the environment.
