Container desiccant, also known as strong desiccant, is primarily used inside shipping containers to absorb moisture. During transportation, containers can form "internal rain" due to varying latitudes. It can absorb water equivalent to its own weight, effectively lowering the dew point over the course of up to 50 days of ocean shipping, thereby controlling condensation inside the container.

During ocean transportation or storage, containers experience high humidity climates and significant day-night temperature variations.

The water vapor inside the container condenses into water droplets, forming "container rain." By utilizing the moisture absorption capability of silica gel desiccant strips, the moisture content in the container's air is reduced, preventing the occurrence of container rain.
