The Dräger Alcotest® 5000 is a professional breath alcohol tester used to detect whether a subject has consumed alcohol. With this high-speed breathalyzer, you can perform multiple tests in a short time. The special funnel minimizes breath backflow, preventing infection of subsequent subjects.

If a test result is positive, the exact blood alcohol concentration can be calculated using Dräger alcohol screening devices or court-approved evidence collection equipment if necessary.

High-precision rapid alcohol detection with a clean and hygienic funnel design

No direct contact with the subject is required during alcohol testing. There is no need to attach or remove mouthpieces, as the test only requires the subject to blow into the funnel. Thanks to its unique design, the special Dräger Alcotest 5000 funnel prevents the backflow of exhaled air, avoiding inhalation of any pathogens from previous subjects. If the tester is at a distance from the subject (e.g., a driver in a truck cabin), the Alcotest 5000 has a ¼-inch thread on the back for attaching a standard handheld pole. This speeds up the breath alcohol testing process.
