I. Core Solvent Applications (Primary Uses)

1. Coatings and Inks

   • Dissolves alkyd resins, epoxy resins, and polyvinyl acetate to improve coating leveling and adhesion;
   • Used as a coupling agent in water-based diluted coatings to enhance the stability of water-based paints (often blended with other solvents);
   • Functions as a solvent in printing inks to control viscosity and drying speed.

2. Industrial Cleaners

   • Degreasing cleaner for electronic components, precision instruments, and metal surfaces, effectively dissolving oils without leaving residues;
   • Component in floor polish coagulants and hard surface cleaners.

II. Functional Materials and Chemical Additives

1. Polymer Material Processing

   • Solvent for synthesizing unsaturated polyester resins and polyurethanes, used in the production of fiberglass and composite materials;
   • Plasticizer/Lubricant: Enhances the flexibility of plastics (e.g., PVC) and improves rubber processing performance.

2. Industrial Fluid Additives

   • Key component in brake fluid, improving high-temperature stability and lubricity;
