Acetyl Tributyl Citrate (ATBC) Product Introduction and Applications

I. Product Characteristics

1. ‌Physical Properties‌
   Acetyl tributyl citrate is a colorless or pale yellow oily liquid with a relative density of 1.046, a freezing point as low as -80°C, and a flash point as high as 204°C. It is slightly soluble in water and easily soluble in organic solvents such as methanol.

1. ‌Chemical Performance‌
   It exhibits excellent heat resistance (stable at 150°C), light resistance, and water resistance. It has good compatibility with resins such as PVC and polyvinylidene chloride, offering high plasticizing efficiency. However, it may hydrolyze in acidic or alkaline environments.

II. Main Applications

• ‌Plasticizer Applications‌：
  • Used as a non-toxic primary plasticizer for PVC food packaging films, cling films, and sealing gaskets. It is FDA-approved for use in food contact materials;
  • Applied in medical devices (such as medical catheters and PVC gloves) and children's toys, free from harmful phthalates.

• ‌Environmental and Industrial Applications‌：
  • Used in environmentally friendly inks and biodegradable plastics, offering biodegradability;
  • Enhances flexibility and weather resistance in the leather and coating industries.

III. Safety and Storage

Non-toxic (rat oral LD50 > 30ml/kg), compliant with international safety certifications such as REACH. Storage requires a cool, dry environment, avoiding direct sunlight and oxidizers. It is gradually replacing traditional plasticizers.
