BRADY B-499 Thermal Transfer/Dot Matrix Print Nylon Fabric Label Technical Performance Table
Overview: Brady B-499 is a polyamide nylon fabric label with a permanent acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive and a surface coating suitable for thermal transfer and dot matrix printing, primarily used for general labeling purposes such as cables requiring long-term identification.
It is recommended to use Brady R4300, R4900, R6000, R6200 black, and R4500 color (red, blue, and green) series ribbons for thermal transfer printing; use Brady R2000 and R5000 series ribbons for dot matrix printing.
B-434 labels printed with Brady R4300, R4900 series ribbons for thermal transfer and R2000, R5000 series ribbons for dot matrix printing are UL certified in the United States. For details, refer to UL file MH17154.

Chemical Testing:
Test Method: Sample labels printed with Brady I.D.Pro-Plus Wire Marker and IBM typewriter using R2000 and R5000 series ribbons, then wrapped around 12 AWG, TFE cable and tested after 24 hours at room temperature. Samples are immersed in specified chemical solvents for 10 minutes every 30 minutes, repeated 5 times. After the last immersion, wipe the label surface 10 times with a cotton ball soaked in the test solvent.
