As a fundamental support component for industrial testing, equipment installation, and measurement, the technical requirements of cast iron test bases directly impact the accuracy of test data and the stability of equipment operation. The following are the core technical requirements and key implementation points for cast iron test bases:
I. Material Performance Requirements
1. Material Selection
HT200 or HT250 gray cast iron must be used, with tensile strengths not less than 200 MPa and 250 MPa, respectively (refer to GB/T 9439 standard). The material must undergo spectral analysis to ensure carbon content of 2.8%-3.3% and silicon content of 1.5%-2.5%, balancing casting fluidity and strength.
2. Microstructure Control
The matrix should be a pearlite structure (proportion ≥90%), with graphite morphology achieving Type A distribution (uniform and non-directional), and graphite length controlled at Grade 4-6 (0.03-0.25 mm). Inoculation treatment is required to prevent chill formation, with hardness ranging from HB180-220.
II. Machining Precision
1. Reference Surface Accuracy
Flatness of the upper surface must be ≤0.02 mm/m² or ≤0.05 mm/m² (standard grade), with surface roughness Ra ≤1.6 μm. This should be achieved through rough and finish machining stages using a gantry milling machine. Cutting parameters: during finish machining, cutting speed 80-120 m/min, feed rate 0.1-0.2 mm/rev.
2. Installation Hole Tolerance
Bolt hole positional tolerance ≤Φ0.1 mm, perpendicularity ≤0.02 mm/100 mm. It is recommended to use CNC machining with HSK63 tool holders, with repeat positioning accuracy ≤±0.005 mm.
III. Structural Design Specifications
1. Reinforcement Rib Layout
Adopt a grid or radial reinforcement rib design, with rib thickness being 60%-80% of the main wall thickness and height ratio ≥5:1. For vibration applications, modal analysis is required to ensure the first natural frequency is 1.5 times higher than the equipment's operating frequency.
2. Vibration Damping Structure
For measurement bases, a multi-layer damping structure should be designed: it is recommended to install a 10-15 mm thick rubber pad (Shore hardness 40-50) between the cast iron layer and the concrete foundation, with a damping ratio ≥30%.
IV. Aging Treatment Process
1. Thermal Aging Protocol
Castings must undergo annealing at 530±10°C for 8 hours, with furnace cooling rate ≤30°C/h. Residual stress measured value should be ≤50 MPa (determined by X-ray diffraction method).
2. Natural Aging Cycle
Critical components must be placed outdoors for 6-12 months, flipped once weekly to utilize diurnal temperature variations for stress relief. Accelerated aging tests can use -20°C to +60°C cycles (20 cycles equivalent to 3 months of natural aging).
V. Special Environmental Adaptability
1. Temperature Compensation Design
For use in environments with temperature differences >15°C, thermal expansion compensation slots must be reserved. It is recommended to calculate the expansion coefficient at 11×10⁻⁶/°C, reserving 0.5-1 mm of expansion gap per meter length.
2. Anti-Corrosion Treatment
For coastal or chemical environments, phosphating treatment (coating weight 3-5 g/m²) or epoxy zinc-rich primer (dry film thickness ≥60 μm) + polyurethane topcoat double-layer protection should be applied.
VI. Inspection and Acceptance Standards
1. Geometric Measurement
Use an electronic level for inspection, with flatness measurement point density ≥16 points/m². Data must be evaluated using least squares fitting.
2. Dynamic Performance Testing
Verify through vibration excitation tests: within a 5-500 Hz frequency sweep range, amplitude magnification ≤2.5 (with 0.1g vibration input). It is recommended to use a PCB356A16 accelerometer for data acquisition.
