I. (sanli) XBD-L Type Vertical Fire Pump Product Overview:
The XBD-L type vertical fire pump is used for conveying clean water without solid particles and liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to water. It is mainly used for boosting water supply in fire protection system pipelines, and is also suitable for industrial and urban water supply and drainage, high-rise building booster water supply, long-distance water delivery, heating, bathroom, boiler hot and cold water circulation, booster air conditioning refrigeration system water supply, and equipment matching. The performance and technical conditions of the XBD-L type fire pump unit produced by (sanli) comply with the requirements of the newly promulgated GB6245-1998 "Fire Pump Performance Requirements and Test Methods" standard. The product has been tested and qualified by the Fire Equipment Quality Inspection Center and has obtained the Product Certification Certificate, namely the CCCF Certificate (Fire Product 3C Certificate). II. (sanli) XBD-L Type Vertical Fire Pump Product Features:

1. Compact structure, small size, and beautiful appearance. Its vertical structure determines a small installation area, with the center of gravity on the pump foot, thus enhancing the pump's operational stability and service life.

V. (sanli) XBD-L Type Vertical Fire Pump Installation Instructions:

1. During installation, the weight of the pipeline should not be borne by the pump, otherwise it may damage the water pump;

2. The pump and motor are an integrated structure, calibrated by the manufacturer before leaving the factory, so no adjustment is needed during installation, making it very convenient;

3. Before installing the pump, carefully check the pump flow channel for any hard objects that may affect the pump's operation (such as stones, iron sand, etc.) to avoid damaging the flow components during operation;

4. During installation, the anchor bolts must be tightened, and the pump should be inspected periodically to prevent loosening, to avoid severe vibration during startup that may affect performance;

5. For convenient maintenance and safety, install a regulating valve on the inlet and outlet pipelines of the pump and a pressure gauge near the inlet and outlet. For high head, to prevent water hammer, a check valve should be installed before the outlet gate valve to handle sudden power loss and other power failure accidents, ensuring the pump operates under suitable conditions and extending its service life;

6. For applications with suction head, a bottom valve should be installed, and the inlet pipeline should not have too many bends. There should be no water or air leakage to avoid affecting the pump's suction performance;

7. To prevent impurities from entering the pump and blocking the flow channel, affecting performance, install a filter before the pump inlet;

8. Before installing the pipeline, rotate the pump's rotor components. There should be no friction or jamming. Otherwise, disassemble the pump to check the cause. 

VI. (sanli) XBD-L Type Vertical Fire Pump Startup and Shutdown:

(I) Pre-startup preparation
1. Turn the motor fan by hand; the impeller should not jam and should rotate flexibly.
2. Open the inlet valve and the exhaust valve to fill the entire pump cavity with liquid, then close the exhaust valve.
3. Rotate the pump shaft by hand to allow lubricant to enter the mechanical seal end face.
4. Jog the motor to confirm the correct rotation direction.

(II) Startup and operation
1. Fully open the inlet valve and close the discharge pipeline valve.
2. Turn on the power. After the pump reaches normal speed, gradually open the discharge pipeline valve and adjust to the required operating conditions.
3. Monitor instrument readings and check the shaft seal leakage. Normal mechanical seal leakage is ≤3 drops/minute. Check the motor and bearing temperature rise ≤70°C. If any abnormalities are found, handle them promptly.
(III) Shutdown
1. Gradually close the discharge pipeline valve and cut off the power.
2. Close the inlet valve.
3. If the ambient temperature is below 0°C, drain the liquid from the pump to avoid freezing and cracking.
4. If the pump is out of service for a long time, disassemble and clean it, and store it properly.

VII. (sanli) XBD-L Type Vertical Fire Pump Maintenance:

(I) Maintenance during operation
1. The inlet pipeline must be filled with liquid. Do not allow the pump to operate under cavitation conditions for extended periods.
2. Regularly check the motor current value; it must not exceed the motor's rated current.
3. After long-term operation, due to mechanical wear, if the unit's noise and vibration increase, stop the pump for inspection. Replace worn parts. The unit's major overhaul period is generally one year.
(II) Mechanical seal maintenance
1. The mechanical seal lubrication should be clean and free of solid particles.
2. Do not allow the mechanical seal to operate under dry grinding conditions.
3. Before starting, rotate the pump (motor) a few turns to avoid sudden startup damaging the seal ring.
4. Allowable seal leakage is 3 drops/minute. If exceeded, perform maintenance.
