Rudong Xingda Fine Chemical Factory (Nantong Xiangtai Chemical Co., Ltd.) is located on the beautiful and prosperous coast of the Yellow Sea—Huanghai Second Road, Rudong Coastal Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu Province. The area is crisscrossed by railways, highways, and provincial roads, adjacent to Nantong Airport, and only 10 kilometers away from the 200,000-ton natural deep-water port—Yangkou Port.

Established in June 1992, Rudong Xingda Fine Chemical Factory started with a registered capital of 5.58 million yuan under the Township Enterprise Management Bureau. In 1998, it was restructured into a sole proprietorship. The factory covers an area of 50 acres, with a building area of 9,000 square meters, employing 60 workers, including 6 technical personnel, and possesses fixed assets worth 40 million yuan. The factory mainly produces fine chemical products such as Potassium Hydroxybenzene Sulfonate, Potassium p-Hydroxybenzenesulfonate, Sodium p-Hydroxybenzenesulfonate, p-Hydroxybenzenesulfonic Acid, p-Chlorobenzoic Acid, o-Chlorobenzoic Acid, 1,2-Dichloropropane, Sodium Benzenesulfonate, p-Nitrobenzoic Acid, Sodium Acetate, and Methanesulfonic Acid. The annual production capacity includes 2,000 tons of Sodium p-Hydroxybenzenesulfonate, 2,000 tons of p-Hydroxybenzenesulfonic Acid, 4,000 tons of p-Hydroxybenzenesulfonic Acid Solution, 500 tons of o-Chlorobenzoic Acid, 1,500 tons of 1,2-Dichloropropane, 400 tons of Sodium Benzenesulfonate, 1,000 tons of p-Nitrobenzoic Acid, 200 tons of Potassium Hydroxybenzene Sulfonate, 500 tons of p-Chlorobenzoic Acid, 2,000 tons of Sodium Acetate, and 2,000 tons of Methanesulfonic Acid.

In 2006, the factory relocated to the chemical industrial park—Yangkou Chemical Industry Cluster, where it merged and reorganized to establish Nantong Xiangtai Chemical Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 3 million USD. The current products of Nantong Xiangtai Chemical Co., Ltd. include 20,000 tons of Vinylidene Chloride and 1,1,2-Trichloroethane, among others. Vinylidene Chloride, also known as 1,1-Dichloroethylene (abbreviated as VDC), is the main monomer for producing PVDC resin (Saran resin SALON) and PVDC latex, as well as an important intermediate for producing alternatives to chlorofluorocarbons. It holds a significant position in industries such as pharmaceuticals and dyes, with a wide range of applications.
