SN3007 Spatial Comfort Manikin

*** The automated manikin for measuring vehicle/cabin environmental conditions and passenger comfort level *** is a non-heated device. Sensors measuring air velocity (omnidirectional), temperature, radiant heat flux, and relative humidity are mounted on the surface of the epoxy carbon fiber body shell. All sensors are equipped with protective caps to prevent damage during loading and installation.

The automated manikin can be separated at the waist into upper and lower halves for easy placement into any vehicle. The hands are mitten-type, designed in a curved grasping shape that can be positioned to hold a steering wheel. This shape does not interfere with air movement and simulates airflow around a clenched fist. The back of the thighs is flattened to simulate realistic airflow under compression. The complete system includes the manikin, a DELL computer, sensors, a controller with wireless transmission capability, and data display software.

Standard Configuration

· Lightweight epoxy carbon fiber shell

· Equipped with shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, and ankle joints. The shoulder joints allow arms to be moved in and out of the torso, enabling a wide range of driver postures.

· The body can be separated into two parts at the waist for easy installation into the vehicle to be tested.

· Surface-mounted sensors measure air temperature, flow velocity, radiant heat flux, and relative humidity.

· Sensor protective caps guard against damage to temperature and air velocity sensors during transport and installation.

· Mitten-style hands and flattened thighs (back and bottom) are designed to facilitate airflow movement.

· Control unit includes wireless sensors via network.

· Power and data cables connect to the side of the manikin.

· Vehicle simulation program can display CAD model diagrams. Multiple manikins can be connected to one data system. Includes computer and control software, operation manual, and one-year warranty.
