Vitamin C for Injection Gas No. 50-81-7

Properties: This product is a white or almost white powder or crystalline powder; odorless; the color gradually turns slightly yellow after long storage.

Indications:

Vitamin drug. Suitable for

1. Prevention and treatment of scurvy, and also used as an adjunct therapy for various acute and chronic infectious diseases and purpura. Large doses administered intravenously are used in the rescue of Keshan disease and cardiogenic shock.

2. Treatment of chronic iron poisoning: Vitamin C promotes the chelation of iron by deferoxamine, accelerating iron excretion.

3. Treatment of idiopathic methemoglobinemia.

4. Increased need for vitamin C in the following conditions:

(1) Patients undergoing chronic hemodialysis, gastrointestinal diseases (long-term diarrhea, post-gastrectomy or ileectomy), tuberculosis, cancer, peptic ulcer, hyperthyroidism, fever, infections, trauma, burns, surgery, etc.

(2) Patients on strict or selective diets, those receiving parenteral nutrition, individuals with malnutrition, rapid weight loss, and during pregnancy and lactation.

(3) When using tetracyclines, salicylates, or when vitamin C is used as a urinary acidifying agent.
