Properties:
The product is a light yellow to yellow, semi-transparent, slightly lustrous powder or flake; odorless; when moistened, it is easily decomposed by bacteria. Prolonged soaking causes it to absorb water, swell, and soften, increasing its weight by 5 to 10 times. It is soluble in hot water, acetic acid mixed with water, or glycerol, but insoluble in ethanol and chloroform.

Main Uses:
Primarily used as a raw material for soft and hard capsules and tablet icing.
