I. Application

The steel cord tubular conveyor belt is a new type of transportation product that uses steel cords as the core skeleton and high-elasticity, high-wear-resistance, and high-strength rubber as the working surface. It is mainly used for conveying materials such as powders and granules that are prone to pollute the environment. During operation, the belt gradually changes from a flat shape to a U-shape and finally forms a tubular shape, enclosing the material to achieve enclosed transportation. The tubular conveyor belt is used in conjunction with tubular belt conveyors and relies on external forces to form a circular tube shape along the entire or part of the transportation route. The core of the tubular conveyor belt uses high-strength canvas or steel cords as the skeleton,[1]combined with high-strength, high-wear-resistance high-quality rubber as the top and bottom cover layers. During operation, the belt gradually changes from a flat shape to a U-shape and finally rolls into a tubular shape to achieve enclosed transportation.

II. Features

Ø Enclosed material transportation, providing bidirectional protection for the material and the environment;

Ø Large inclination transportation, with a typical conveying angle of up to 30 degrees;

Ø The transportation route can be arranged along spatial curves;

III.1 Tubular belts are divided into two major categories: fabric core and steel cord core.

2 Fabric core tubular belts are made by bonding one or multiple layers of rubber-coated canvas in a specific structural manner; steel cord core tubular belts are made by bonding longitudinally spaced steel cords and transverse reinforcement in a specific structural manner.

3 The cover layer consists of specially designed cover rubber and edge rubber.

4 Depending on design and usage requirements, elastic rubber or transverse rigidity can be added between the core and the cover layer.
