The Shandong Provincial Academy of Sciences Institute of Biology was established in 1983 as a provincial public welfare Category II institution and is a comprehensive scientific research organization in Shandong. In 1999, the Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Biosensors was established. The Shandong Provincial Key Laboratory of Biosensors specializes in biosensor technology research, as well as polysaccharide analysis in fermentation processes, monosaccharide detection, and real-time monitoring and process control of fermentation. Over the past 30 years, it has successfully developed various analytical instruments, primarily including the Reducing Sugar Analyzer Series and theSBABiosensor Analyzer Series. The Reducing Sugar Analyzer is capable of automatically and rapidly analyzing reducing sugars in solutions; the SBA series analyzers are intelligent instruments that can quickly and accurately measure dual indicators for glucose, lactate, glutamic acid, lysine, ethanol, methanol, starch, dextrin, sucrose, lactose, and saccharifying enzymes.
The SBA series biosensor analyzers and the Reducing Sugar Analyzer series have a wide range of applications and are now extensively used in industries and sectors such as food fermentation, biochemical engineering, universities, research institutes, control centers, and sports. Their practicality has been affirmed and recognized by the vast majority of customers. Over 2,000 units are in use by large food fermentation enterprises including Lotus Monosodium Glutamate, Linghua Monosodium Glutamate, Meihua Monosodium Glutamate Group, Fufeng Group, Guizhou Group, Tianguan Group, and Anhui BBCA Group; research institutions such as the China National Research Institute of Food and Fermentation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Nankai University, Shandong University, Jiangnan University, West China Medical University, Tongji University, South China University of Technology, and East China University of Science and Technology; provincial and municipal CDC centers in Shandong, Jiangsu, and Shanghai; and sports training institutions like the National Track and Field Administration Center and Shenyang Sport University. These instruments have now become the most practical and easily maintainable analytical tools in the domestic food, fermentation, and related industries.
