Resin sand processing production line equipment

The resin sand production line is an important component in achieving mechanization of the sand treatment process in casting production. It generally consists of a magnetic separation belt, sand storage, elevator, resin sand demolding, dust screening machine, vibrating crusher, pneumatic conveying tank, resin sand mixer, and other components.

Working principle of the resin sand molding production line:

1. Used sand is transported via the magnetic separation belt to the sand storage. Under centrifugal force, it is thrown toward the surrounding stabilizing ring. The repeated friction and collision between the sand grains and the stabilizing ring, as well as among the sand grains themselves, remove the bonding film on the surface of the sand grains. The treated sand then falls between the stabilizing ring and the disc. Simultaneously, a fan on the same shaft as the disc blows air upward, creating a strong airflow that fluidizes, air-classifies, and removes the bonding film and dust from the falling sand, resulting in sand that meets the process requirements.

2. After treatment, the used sand has low dead clay content, requires less new sand addition, and the mixed molding sand exhibits good wet compressive strength, fluidity, and permeability. Depending on the layout of the foundry workshop, process requirements, and compatibility with different molding methods, the resin sand treatment production line can vary in configuration. However, the process generally includes used sand recycling, used sand crushing and screening, used sand cooling, clay and coal dust conveying, new and used sand conveying, and molding sand mixing.

3. Used sand recycling: Used sand is discharged through a shakeout machine, and the scattered sand is collected by a collection hopper before being transported via conveying equipment (such as vibrating conveyors, belt conveyors, elevators, etc.) to the next screening stage. During transportation, magnetic separation equipment removes embedded iron, iron beads, and other metallic impurities from the sand.

4. Used sand crushing and screening: The used sand transported by the conveying equipment is processed through screening devices (such as high-efficiency hexagonal screens, linear sand screens, etc.) to break down and screen large lumps in the used sand. Large debris and unbreakable sand lumps are screened out, while dust and fine powders are extracted through suction.
