Scale Inhibitor JHROS-201
JHROS-201 is a highly efficient scale inhibitor specifically developed for reverse osmosis (RO) systems. The formation of scale and iron deposits on RO membranes can degrade the performance of water treatment systems and necessitate premature replacement of RO membranes. Accumulated scale and sediment on RO membranes lead to reduced permeability, decreased throughput, frequent shutdowns, increased water consumption, and higher energy usage.
Long-term practice has proven JHROS-201 to be highly effective against the following types of scale: calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, strontium sulfate, calcium fluoride, silica, and iron.
JHROS-201 Physical Properties

JHROS-201 Scale Inhibitor Dosing
JHROS-201 scale inhibitor should be continuously dosed to significantly reduce scaling in reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membrane systems. It is recommended to operate at the highest frequency of the metering pump and adjust the dosage by regulating the pump stroke to effectively protect the membrane system.
The preferred method is to use a closed feeding system to add pure JHROS-201 scale inhibitor to avoid contamination by foreign impurities (a closed feeding system means that the fluid flows directly from a sealed storage container into the treatment medium without exposure to the atmosphere, although typical venting or pressure safety devices may still be open to the atmosphere).
JHROS-201 scale inhibitor should (only) be diluted with reverse osmosis permeate water and adhere to the following requirements:
1. Use RO permeate water for dilution.
2. Reformulate the scale inhibitor solution every 3-5 days.
3. Before replenishing the solution, inspect the daily dosage storage container. Clean the container before refilling if necessary.
4. A dilution ratio of up to 10 times is typically used. If a dilution ratio higher than 10 times is required, pay special attention to the condition (cleanliness) of the scale inhibitor storage container and reformulate the solution every 1-3 days.
